Cycling around Germany for the rights of children with rare diseases

Today, the German cyclist Jörg Richter launches his fifth charity tour for the benefit of children with rare diseases. On a round trip from Munich, he will visit the capitals of all countries bordering Germany in order to draw attention to the rights of sick children. Richter will be on the road for almost four months and will cover a distance of around 8,000 km. Donations received as part of the campaign will benefit the charitable work of the Care-for-Rare Foundation...

Fourth cycle tour for children with rare diseases: German cycles from San Francisco to New York City

Today the German cyclist Jörg Richter starts his fourth charity tour for the benefit of children with rare diseases. As in 2015, he travels the US from the West to the East Coast, drawing attention to children with rare diseases. Richter will be on the bike saddle for almost half a year, covering a distance of around 13,000 km. Pro.movere – towards more movement: Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden receives the Bavarian Founder’s Award | The Care-for-Rare Science Award goes to a paediatrician from Münster

On November 24, 2016, the Care-for-Rare Foundation and the Werner Reichenberger Foundation called for more civic engagement with their joint initiative „pro.movere – towards more movement“. At the festive evening event, Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden received the Bavarian Founder’s Award for her worldwide commitment in favor of children in need. The Care-for-Rare Science Award went to Professor Dr. Heymut Omran of the University Hospital Münster for the investigation of rare pulmonary diseases in children. ...
