Fourth cycle tour for children with rare diseases: German cycles from San Francisco to New York City

Today the German cyclist Jörg Richter starts his fourth charity tour for the benefit of children with rare diseases. As in 2015, he travels the US from the West to the East Coast, drawing attention to children with rare diseases. Richter will be on the bike saddle for almost half a year, covering a distance of around 13,000 km. On November 24, 2016, the Care-for-Rare Foundation and the Werner Reichenberger Foundation called for more civic engagement with their joint initiative „pro.movere – towards more movement“. At the festive evening event, Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden received the Bavarian Founder’s Award for her worldwide commitment in favor of children in need. The Care-for-Rare Science Award went to Professor Dr. Heymut Omran of the University Hospital Münster for the investigation of rare pulmonary diseases in children. ...

Philanthropy meets Science – the Hector Foundation II awards Professor Christoph Klein with science award

Pro.movere in action - philanthropy meets science: Professor Christoph Klein, co-founder of the Care-for-Rare Foundation has been awarded with the prestigious Hector Science Award 2013 in recognition of his cutting-edge research on rare diseases. The prestigious award is endowed with 150.000€  - and will be partly used to support the mission of the Care-for-Rare Foundation.

With their foundation, Josephine and Hans-Werner Hector provide an excellent example of social responsibility.
